One down, four to go

This is Randy. After the first week of daily treatment at the IU Med Center, we are enjoying the weekend at home.

After sleeping in Saturday, we actually packed a lot into the day.

We stopped by Debbie and Rick Haire’s “Gilligan’s Island Luau” in the afternoon and then jumped in canoes with Mike and Carol Hull and John and Ginny Shrode for the “Moonlight Paddle” at the Bluegrass Fish and Wildlife Preserve. The ride started with sprinkling rain and we thought the cloud cover would deny us a view of the full moon, but we weren’t disappointed. The clouds parted, the moon rose, and its light guided our way. It was beautiful.

My brother, Tim’s, church in Melbourne, Florida will have a prayer service for Ann tonight. I’ve met a lot of those fine people through the years. It feels real good knowing that they’ll be praying tonight. Just remember that God desires Ann’s healing even more than we do. That’s how amazing our God is. So go ahead and boldly ask for divine healing. A specific request: pray for relief from the nausea. That’s been the hardest part. One more thing for those of you who won’t be at the service tonight. Please pause sometime this evening to be one in spirit with the folks in Florida. We’ll be praying for all of you too.

    Randy,
Thanks for letting us know how we can be praying specifically for Ann! Will definitely set aside time tonight to pray for her healing and relief from the nauseousness. Please, please give her a big hug for me. Tell her I love her and look forward to seeing her sometime in the near future.

    Ann,
I met you when you came to my facility about 22 years ago and was a host at our Hat Day. I wanted you to know that you and your family are in my prayers. Keep your faith in the Lord and He will always direct your path. Keep looking up and remember its all about Him.
