My counts went up a bit so I’m back in treatment.
I was able to have chemo this week, and I’m back getting daily radiation. Although that’s good news, treatment is pretty rough. Eating and keeping it down is a big problem.
Next time I write I’m going to tell you about my incredible doctors. I can’t begin to tell you how fortunate I feel to be in their care. They are both so positive and encouraging. They also care about every aspect of my life.
That will be later. Tonight, I want to talk about Peter Mageto. Peter was our missionary pastor in residence for a few years and he is filled with Grace. Peter came to the U.S. for his education, received his PhD from Garrett Theological School at Northwestern University, worked with us in Evansville and then went back to Kenya. Since he’s been back in Africa both he and his little girl have suffered from malaria.
He wrote something so beautiful in the guestbook that I didn’t want you all to miss it. It is my prayer Peter’s words will comfort many others:
Ann & Randy: The last time we had a discourse together it was centered on a trip to Kenya to develop a film on the Amani Reading Centre, a centre that Ann was keen to highlight in its early stages while she worked at Fox7 and supported all through. Since we received the news about Ann, we have not stopped mentioning your name in our family and individual prayers. We encourage you to keep the FAITH. Remember Heb. 11: 1- faith is trusting what the eye can’t see. Your eyes may be tempted to see the prowling lion, the storms in life, the giants in the world, the faults in life, and one’s guilt. But faith sees the ring of grace on your finger and the kiss of your father on your face with this assuring words “I am the Lord your God, who holds your right hand, and I tell you, ‘Dont be afraid. I will help you” (Isa. 41: 13). Remember while we are thousand miles away bodily, we are united in the spirit, and surely, count on us to mention your names to God our Father all the time. May the Lord surround you with His own sufficient grace now and always! Peter & Irene Mageto, Nairobi, Kenya

We love you and miss you, Mageto family, and our prayers are with you as well.

Ann, thank you for sharing this e-mail but most important thank you for this website. I check it every day to see how you are doing and I am a complete stranger to you. You and your husband have always been special but more so now than ever before. You are on our prayer list at church and also on my own. Not only do I pray for healing for you but also for God’s strength that surpasses our own understanding.
Ann: I keep you and your family in my prayers everyday. I have been reading on your site for some time, you are an inspiration to me and i do wish you all the best.
I am glad you were able to receive your treatments today and sad that you have a hard time afterwards i do hope that will get better, in our thoughts always
