Blogging Challenges

It’s becoming increasingly difficult for me to write blogs while I am here in Indianapolis…but I will fight my way through it!

Difficult because the “N” key on my keyboard is missing…as are the “3″ and “down arrow”…and now it looks as if I will soon lose my “S”! Do you have any idea how difficult it is to type words that don’t have “Ns” and “Ss”?! So I have to stop and mash those keys like potatoes. Sigh. Life’s challenges. I’m becoming more and more aware that life has challenges for all of us. I’m particularly aware of that in a hospital setting. We are all dealing with something, aren’t we? That’s why I am so humbled that you are praying for me.

I wish I could tell you that I am doing well, but the truth is, treatment is tough. Thank you so much for praying for me at 10:30am CST. Radiation used to be brutal. That’s because the pain would increase dramatically while I was on my back. Now I’m getting through the actual radiation just fine, without pain. I hope that means the tumor is shrinking. (In my mind I am blasting that thing with my light saber!) The bad thing though is the radiation is directed right at my gut and it is badly upsetting my digestive system. I am seeing light at the end of the tunnel though. I have tomorrow, all of next week and the following Monday to go. AND THEN I CAN COME HOME!!! I am very much looking forward to that day! Let’s hope I can finish this up without losing any more weight…and any more keys!

Much Agape,
Ann

All of us are praying for you and your family. We know how hard this fight is. I am a 35 year old 5 year breast cancer survivor, still receiveing treatment for Stage IV. Which has included chemo and radiation. Take care of yourself, and try eating several small meals a day. It seemed to help me thru the chemo sickness and even more so thru the radiation. Keep the faith!

    ATTITUDE

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.

Well,” she said, “I think I’ll braid my hair today.”
So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.

“H-M-M,” she said, “I think I’ll part my hair down the middle today.”
So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.
“Well,” she said, “today I’m going to wear my hair in a pony tail.”
So she did and she had a fun, fun, day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn’t a single hair on her head.
“Yea!” she exclaimed, “I don’t have to fix my hair today!”

    ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING.

    Be kinder than necessary,
For everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

    Live simply,
    Love generously,
    Care deeply,
    Speak kindly . . .

    Leave the rest to God
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass . . .
It’s about learning to dance in the rain.
